Project Engineer, Pontefract with some travel between sites, £50,000 - £55,000, pension, 8am – 4.30pm, 25 days holiday + BH

 

Our client is a hugely successful production company who are looking to appoint a Project Engineer based at their Pontefract site with some travel to other sites. 

 

Our client has grown organically and through acquisition and this sets to continue.  As a result, they are looking to appoint a Project Engineer who will be involved in the planning, development and execution of engineering capital projects. The Project Engineer will work with key project stakeholders across the business to ensure that fit for purpose technical solutions are provided, whilst helping to deliver capital projects and providing solutions for equipment effectiveness inclusive of maintenance and improvements.

 

Key accountabilities / responsibilities of the Project Engineer

Assist in planning, design and execution of engineering project management
Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders, including clients and contractors
Maintaining accurate project documentation, including progress reports and technical specifications
Providing technical support and guidance to team members

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience required for the role of Project Engineer

Experience working with automated machinery is essential
Experience of panel building is essential
Must be able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
Experience in fault finding, analysis and Lean Manufacturing Principles is key
Must have good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Process improvement experience
Experience of training others on the maintenance and optimisation of key equipment
